About Us

Holy Cross Church Syro Malabar Catholic Forane Church, Mugappair has been established to fulfill the spiritual and social needs of the Syro-Malabar faithful settled in Chennai and living around Mugappair, Nolambur, Vanagaram, Ambattur, Padi, Korattur, Anna Nagar, Koyambedu and nearby areas.

The church functions as a Forane church under the newly established Diocese of Hosur offering Holy Mass in Malayalam. We aim to achieve the spiritual and societal growth of the community in the deep-rooted Christian values.

At present, we have over 250 families in the parish and are divided into 12 family units. We are proud that we have a well established, Parish Council together with pious groups such as Pithruvedi, Mathrujyothi, Kendra Samithi Committee, CYM, Choir and Altar boys.

Catechism for the Children is an integral part of our Parish.

The Feast of The Exaltation of the Holy Cross is celebrated annually in our parish in the month of September.
