FCC Convent

Nirmal Bhavan, Francisan Clarist(FCC) Convent.

Every religious Sister has a duty to bear witness to the Gospel through one’s own life and as a community. With new vigour and enthusiasm, on 15th August 1995, FCC sisters, by the inspiration of our former Provinicial Rev. Sr. Liberatta had started Nirmal Bhavan, Francisan Clarist(FCC) Convent at Mogappair. She appointed Rev. Sr. Gorathi (1995-1998) as the first Sister Superior to start the prayerful mission and later on Rev. Sr. Paterna (1998-2001), Rev. Sr. Rulina(2001-2004), Rev. Sr. Pushpi Teresa (2004-2007) Rev. Sr. Mereena (2007-2010), Rev. Sr. Alphonse Betty (2010-2013), Rev. Sr. Teresa Sigi (2013-2016) were Superiors of the convent and contributed immensely for the development of the Church and its activities.

Presently Rev. Sr. Little Flower is the Mother Superior of the Convent with Sr. Treasa Flower, Sr. Vandana as the Community members. We being Franciscans, continue the legacy of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Clare by addressing the present day needs for building- up healthy spiritual family by frequent home visit of Parishioners, giving prayer support and encouraging prayer group, counseling youth and children, proclaiming Word of God in family gathering, preparing children for Holy Communion, teaching Catechism and at the most, involving fully in pastoral care and Liturgical activities. These are some of our activities in which our convent tries to better the parish community in unique way to reflect the charity that Jesus Christ preached and lived during His life on earth.
